Good news - for now

Well a couple of developments on the job front... FINALLY
I went to Columbia about 2 weeks ago for an interview for a position as the Executive Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. The interview went very well I thought. I met with one of the Associate Deans who was very nice and who I seemed to get along with pretty easily. Of course I was nervous as hell as I always am on job interviews. At the end of the interview she informed me that they were interviewing several others for the position and by the end of the following week they would let me know one way or the other. Well, I was emailed yesterday and they want me to come back for a second interview where I will have the opportunity to meet with the Dean. The Associate Dean seemed to emphasize that they are looking for someone who is personable and who will get along well with the Dean. So I have that interview next week. We will see how it goes!
Secondly I interviewed for an Admissions Counselor position at Caldwell College in NJ. I think it would be a really fun job but the pay isn't as hight as I would like it to be. Not sure what will happen, but I'll wait and see how that goes as well.
And lastly, I heard back from USIS. I applied for an Investigator position there. They are contracted with the US Government to conduct all of their background investigations. I think it sounds like a pretty cool job. The pay isn't bad and they give you a company car which you can use for business and personal use. I have a phone interview scheduled with them for next week as well. The application process there will probably take at least 6 months if I had to guess, but who knows. Supposedly they are hurting for good people, so maybe the process will be a little quicker.
