...the Executive Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Yes, that's right, I FINALLY got a job! Columbia University offered me the position yesterday and I graciously accepted today (after asking for a little bit more money of course). I gave my notice at work today and will begin work at Columbia on February 25! No more back and forth from MD to NJ on weekends! WOOHOO!! Dan and I can now, once again, actually spend quality time together on weeknights too - which of course means me making dinner and him eating it! haha j/k ;-) I will be able to walk to the train station by our house in South Orange, hop on the Midtown Direct train, arrive at Penn Station in NYC and then hop on the subway and ride on uptown to Columbia. The commute will be a little different than my current 10 minute ride to work, but at least during the 45 minute commute I can read or do something else productive while some form of public transportation is taking me to where I need to go! Ah, the wonders of public transportation.
PS I wonder what size Columbia t-shirt I should buy... :-P
