Georgia On My Mind

This past weekend Dan and I went down to St. Simon's Island Georgia to look at a couple of places to have our wedding! The place we really like is the King and Prince Resort located right on the beach. We want to have a ceremony outside, later in the day/early evening and then the reception would be inside. While we were there visiting, there was a wedding going out on the lawn so we sat and watched it with a bunch of other random passer-bys. It was so nice and pretty! Now that we have seen it and loved it, we are crunching some numbers to see if we can afford to do it there. We will keep everyone posted, but I am about 90% sure we will do it at the King and Prince on May 24, 2009 (thats the Sunday of Memorial Weekend). I can't wait to book a place so I can start really planning everything else!
As for Mingus, we checked him into the PetsMart PetsHotel while we were gone. I was worried about leaving him since we hadn't had him for even a whole week yet, but he did really well. He was very excited to see Dan when he picked him up and of course excited to see me when I got home that evening. He hasn't chewed up anything yet to get revenge, so I guess he is fine with it. Our next big trip is going up to upstate New York for a long weekend to a friend's lake house and for that trip Mingus gets to come with us!
