MINGUS!!

Well, Dan and I adopted a dog today!!! He's a 1 1/2 year old goldendoodle who was given up to the shelter when this former owners were going through a divorce. He is a big boy, probably 80 pounds or so. He loves to ride in the car and stick his head out the window and he isn't the best at walking on a leash but we will work on that issue -- Dog Whisperer Dan hopefully can fix the problem otherwise it is more like Mingus taking me for a walk, dragging me around lol. He looks a lot like his cousin Boh but is a golden color rather than black. We weren't too sure about how much we liked his name, but after doing some research (Dan the criminal investigator) discovered the his former owner was a fairly well known NY jazz musician and Steve Mingus is a famous jazz composer. I think we will stick with the name. We are very lucky to have found him! 9 other families applied to take him home, but since we were there, ready to take him right away, we drove home with him! Now he's all ours forever!
